Here is another example of art inspired by Cthulhu and the Cthulhu Mythos’ erotic themes. This one is a little less explicit than others that I would categorize as more pornographic, but beautiful nonetheless. In Lovecraft’s short story “The Shadow Over Innsmouth” there is much talk about “the Deep Ones” (who live in the deep ocean, unlike the more god-like “Old Ones” who dwell in other dimensions) forcing human beings to interbreed with their kind and, over generations, humans with Deep One blood begin to transform into their ancestors and take to the ocean. The disturbing 2001 Sci-Fi film Dagon dwells on this theme.
